I started my working life as an actor. I’ve always been fascinated by the nature of people, what makes us tick, what motivates us, why we behave the way we do. So, it’s not surprising that my path has led me to therapy and coaching.
My work as a Reiki therapist and trainer began over 15 years ago. Then five years ago, I decided I wanted to add to my skill set and provide a variety of options to suit my clients’ needs. Quest Cognitive Hypnotherapy fitted the bill perfectly.
I’m sure I’ll never get bored of learning about how our minds work and the impact that has on the way we live our lives.
One of the things I love about the Quest Cognitive Hypnotherapy approach is it’s incredible flexibility and creativity. We never work with a fixed system or one size fits all approach. The process is always going to be created around your unique way of being.

I quickly fell in love with Quest Cognitive Hypnotherapy and its unique ability to adapt itself perfectly to everyone that comes to see me for therapy. Before too long, I was getting more and more involved in the Quest community.
Now, I often assist on their therapy diploma course as well as running their magazine “Perception” – a magazine funded by The QCHPA. Their aim is to provide a vast, free resource of articles about numerous topics that people often want help with.
I don’t think any other organisation offers a magazine for the public, which I find quite exciting.
Quest Cognitive Hypnotherapy has also helped me with my own personal journey in many ways. Conquering fears and letting go of those out-dated beliefs that held me back.
It also helped me to recognise that being myself is the best way to be. This allows me me to feel more in control, happier and with more energy to live life to the full.
It’s fair to say that it has completely transformed my life and so my mission is to help you transform your life too.
Nothing gives me a greater buzz than to see people enjoying being themselves, being truly happy and creating the best possible life for themselves, hence my slogan “Enjoy Being You.”
Once my work as a Therapist & Coach took off it became clear to me that acting was not a viable option to funnel my creativity.
Looking back, I never believed I could write as I was never encouraged at school. Then one day I entered a creative writing competition because I loved to create stories.
I didn’t think I’d win but I did. In fact, it was so well received that through the help of Cognitive Hypnotherapy I began to re-evaluate the ideas and beliefs I held about myself.
Now I have set myself the challenge of writing a book, not a self-help book exactly, but a contemporary fantasy that holds within it the themes of my work.
I’m right at the beginning of this journey and doubts about my ability to do it raise their heads from time to time. It doesn’t matter though because I enjoy the process and the journey so much that if one day, someone like you gets to enjoy my book that will just be a fantastic bonus.
Starting a Blog
I’ve braved blogging too, which is a whole different ball game and I’m still playing and learning as I go. Writing doesn’t come easy to me at all, but often the best achievements are those we struggle with.
My blog contains articles that cover the main themes across both my work as a Cognitive Hypnotherapist and a Reiki Trainer and Practitioner.
It is often the case that clients come to me for very similar reasons, regardless of the route they choose.
Most of us are seeking a more fulfilled, content life where we can be happy being who we are, doing what we love and both the models of therapy I offer can help you achieve that. It is simply a matter of which would suit you best.
Creativity is one of my top signature strengths so I make sure it is a part of my daily activity.
Signature strengths are values we have that when present regularly in the day, help us to lead a more meaningful life, full of flow and happiness. My other signature strengths are: Zest; Humour; Honesty and Gratitude.
